JOB DESCRIPTION:
C5 Texas is a leadership development program for under-served
youth in Central Texas. Summer season runs June through August.
Our Camp Nurse position is an opportuntiy to be a integral part of the C5 Team
and help inspire youth to achieve their potential and be leaders in our communities.
Camp Nurse:
The camp nurse is responsible for the health and safety of all
campers.
Conducts daily sick calls, attends to minor health concerns, records
and organizes
all medical files, distributes medications, follows standing orders,
and consults
with the off-site camp physician when necessary. The camp nurse
is camp's emergency
first responder. The camp nurse will also prepare medications,
first-aid kits,
etc; for on-site and off-site adventure trips and train staff
in proper policies
and procedures involved with administering medications.
Qualifications: Registered nurse licensed to practice in Texas, LVN, EMT.
