JOB DESCRIPTION:

Camp Edward Isaacs is a Jewish residential camp on a beautiful wooded campground in Holmes, New York (near Brewster), approximately one hour north of New York City. Over 200 campers and counselors from around the world share a remarkable summer of social and recreational activities, fiendship and celebration. The camp is kosher, and its religious practices encourage Jewish camper of diverse backgrounds to find common ground.

The camp seeks an RN with pediatric experience and CPR training, and a second backup RN or EMT to provide health care services, working closely with a visiting physician\doctor on call.

In consultation with the "Camp Doctor." the nurse will perform six basic functions:
(a) caring for ill or injured patients;
(b) handling "health calls" throughout the day;
(c) sorting and dispensing medication to campers;
(d) responding to any "emergency" which may arise at camp;
(e) maintaining health logs for each camper and staff member; and,
(f) encouraging and promoting health maintenance and accident prevention.

The camp season will extend from June 25th- August 18th.
