Our brother/sister, separate, residential programs have been family owned/ operated
for 60+ years. We are currently looking for 4/8 week nurses.
Campers and staff alike consider Thunderbird to be their second home.
Join us and bring your camp-age children for the experience of a lifetime! Campers often start
in 2nd grade and stay with us to young staff members so we have a strong
personal relationship with our families.
Whether a counselor or a nurse, all of our staff enjoy participating in all aspects of our program.
We have an unusually large staff, 1:3 camp to staff ratio and more than 50% of our staff return annually.
Each one of our camps have two nurses and at least one camp doctor throughout the summer.
We utilize a medicine dispensing company for camper medications so that our nurses
can focus on taking care of children and not preparation of medications. During the week, y
ou will enjoy a full day and evening off a week to explore the local sights, free time during the camp day is also available.
