The Cohen Camps sponsors of Camps Pembroke (MA), Tel Noar (NH), and Tevya
(NH), were founded over 60 years ago as non-profit, Jewish culture camps.
The health and welfare of our campers and staff are extremely important.
The Cohen Camps have separate health centers, staffed with 3 professional
healthcare providers, examination area, and overnight accommodations for
those who are too sick to be in their bunks.
Responsibilities include: screening campers and staff who attend daily
sick calls, dispensing daily medicines, attending to injuries, scheduling
doctor's appointments, maintaining accurate medical notes and records, and
responding to all medical emergencies in a timely and appropriate manner.
Local pediatricians or family practitioners, who support our camp health
centers, prepare standing orders for the summer.Positions require 24/7
coverage.
Qualifications: current RN License required. 3+ years of school and/or
pediatric/adolescent nursing experience is strongly preferred. Ability to
communicate effectively and promptly with campers, parents/guardians,
staff, medical colleagues, and support staff is critical. Current
certifications in first aid and CPR. Maintaining accurate records, and
keeping an orderly health center are also imperative.
