Celebrating 81 Years of Camping for Girls

Camp Pembroke (MA)was founded 81 years ago as non-profit, Jewish culture camp for girls ages 8 to 16. The health and welfare of her campers and staff are extremely important. Pembroke's health center is staffed with 3 registered nurses and has examination areas, and overnight accommodations for those who are too sick to be in their bunks.

Summer’s responsibilities:
•Screening campers and staff who attend daily sick calls,
•Dispensing daily medicines,
•Attending to injuries,
•Scheduling doctor’s appointments,
•Responding to all medical emergencies in a timely manner,
•Maintaining exceptional customer services with campers’ parents;
•Communication with local pediatricians or family practitioners, who prepare standing orders for the summer;
•Three years plus nursing experience, preferable with children, and must have an active and current registered nurses license.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: active/current Registered Nurse's License (RN) from state and/or states s/he may practice (1-3+ years of school or pediatric/adolescent nursing or 1-3+ years of working in a clinical setting with children preferred); ability to communicate effectively and promptly with a diverse audience including campers, parents/guardians, staff, medical colleagues, and support staff; current certifications in first aid and CPR; skills maintaining accurate records and keeping an orderly health center.
