Job Description
Beyond relating to children, a camp counselor is hired to lead or assist in a particular activity. Each counselor is expected to implement a quality program (with guidance from veteran staff) in his or her area of expertise. To succeed, this requires knowledge, patience, creativity and enthusiasm. Each counselor spends the bulk of his or her time in the morning and in the afternoon at this activity.
