Camp Nurse for Traditional Overnight Camp

Our Health Service Department at camp provides all the necessary services for campers and staff in a typical resident camp experience. Each camp has a functional Health Center in the middle of the camp, and is staffed with an RN and a student nurse, providing for a team approach that makes for a learning and fun experience.

• Team approach with main duties including medication distribution, clinic hours, promotion of general health care and wellbeing within our community.
• Health Center has multiple bedrooms, a full bathroom and shower facilities

• Resident physician on staff. The camps also have a resident camp physician, who makes morning clinic call at each site and is on call by cell phone for the rest of the day

Qualifications

• Graduate or Registered Nurses must display and a genuine interest to work in the residential camp setting. - Has an interest in working with children through a residential camp experience.
• Known as responsible, and strengths include attention to detail. A team player, as the Heath Center is staffed with an RN and student nurse.
• Able to work 4 to 10 weeks in Minnesota’s Northwoods and Lake Country.
• Understands that camp requires positive role modeling and service to children.
