Camp Horseshoe is a premier boys’ camp on a beautiful lake in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, and we are hiring a Nurse Manager / Health Center Administrator for the summer.
Dates: June 6 – August 6
This is a live-in summer position at Camp Horseshoe, located in Rhinelander, WI.
Camp Horseshoe is situated on over 140 acres with top-notch facilities. More importantly, Horseshoe has a family-type atmosphere and is often described as fun, spirited, warm, and caring.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Overseeing the overall health and safety of campers and staff

Directing and supervising the camp nursing team

Managing daily health center operations, including sick call and routine care

Ensuring medication administration and medical care are carried out in accordance with camp standing orders and ACA standards

Maintaining accurate medical records for campers and staff

Responding to medical emergencies and coordinating outside care when necessary

Communicating with camp directors, parents, and local medical providers
-
Maintaining a well-organized and properly stocked health center
All medical care, medication administration, documentation, and emergency response are performed in accordance with Camp Horseshoe’s written standing orders, American Camp Association (ACA) standards, and applicable Wisconsin regulations.
