Healthcare Staff | Oldest All-Girls Overnight Camp in Virginia! | 2-7 Week Contracts

Seeking Healthcare Staff for Summer 2026 (2–7 week contracts available).

Help us keep campers healthy and happy at Camp Carysbrook, the oldest all-girls overnight summer camp in Virginia, located in the stunning New River Valley. We’re building out our 2026 healthcare team for June 21–August 9, with contracts available from a minimum 2-week commitment up to the full 7 weeks (dates within that range can be discussed). This is a great role for a caring, steady healthcare professional who loves working with kids and is excited to be part of a close-knit camp community.

What You’ll Do

• Provide basic medical care and first aid for campers and staff
• Administer/manage medications and maintain accurate health records/documentation
• Communicate with parents/guardians as needed about camper health needs
• Be a calm, reassuring presence in the Health Center and around camp
• Enjoy the fresh air and the magic (and meaning) of summer camp life

Job Requirements

• Active credential as RN or LPN (also open to other credentials + experience)
• Strong organization and attention to detail (meds, logs, health forms)
• Calm under pressure, great with kids, and a clear communicator with adults
• Willingness to be part of camp life: outdoors, community, flexibility, and fun

Nice to have (not required): pediatrics, school nursing, urgent care/ED, camp, or similar experience.

Compensation & Perks

• Salary starts at $1,000/week (negotiable based on experience)
