Nurse

The Summer Camp is a nonprofit, rediential summer camp for girls, ages 7-17, from families of low income and foster homes.  We serve girls throughout New England and New York City. We operate 4 ten day sessions and 1, thirteen day session.  Our summer sessions are held in Readfield Maine, located 25 minutes from Augusta.  We are seeking nurses to work one session or multiple if one desires.  The nurse will live at camp.  Session dates are:  June 21-June 30, July 2- July 11, and July 13- July 22, 2023

1. Have “med call” after or before each meal, before bedtime


2. Perform camper examinations upon their arrival


3. Collect and distribute all camper’s medications


4. Keep health center sanitary and stocked with necessary medical supplies


5. Consult with Camp Doctor with all questionable medical issues


6. Become familiar with all chronic illness specified on camper applications


7. Establish a daily relief schedule with the Director and Asst. Director, remaining on call 24 hours per day during the camp session.


8. Keep up to date records in health log book and med sheets


9. Monitor all elements of health and well being of counselors, staff and campers.


10. Work with Director to oversee all Covid Policies/Procedure
