Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner who is looking for a great summer job?

Welcome to Camps Equinunk and Blue Ridge, a traditional Brother/Sister Camp located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Northeastern PA! Since 1920, our traditional summer camps have been at the forefront of resident camping and have served as a summer home to hundreds of campers, staff, and alumni. We are passionate about the camping experience and value the history and traditions that continue to shape us.

We are looking for hardworking applicants with strong skills, experience working with children, high energy and the desire to be part of our excellent health care team and camp family!

 

Responsibilities include:

· Assist with setup of Health Care Center

· Provide health care to meet the individual needs of staff and campers

· Screen campers and staff

· Dispense and manage medications

· Administer first aid and attend to injuries

· Communicate daily with Directors, HC Staff, Parents and Administration as required

· Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

· Liaise with doctors, hospitals, and pharmacies

· Assist Health Center Coordinator to maintain the facility; clean, stocked and organized

· Prepare and monitor medication for off-campus trips

· Assist with preparing and distributing first aid kits around campus


Dates:

· Full Season June 16th, 2019 through August 12th, 2019 (8 weeks)

· Part Season - 3 or 4-week option

 

Compensation:

· $1,100 per week (Tuition credit option also available)

· Travel Allowance

· Reimbursement for PA Licensing

Job Requirements
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
• Must be able to obtain a license to practice in Pennsylvania
• CPR and AED certified
• Current first aid certification
• Experience in first aid and emergency management
• Experience working in pediatric and adult illness/injury care
• Community health knowledge
• The desire to work with children and young adults
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• A flexible attitude with strong skills working in a team
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Empathetic and friendly personality
