Position Overview
Perry-Mansfield, the oldest continuously operating performing arts camp in the United States,
seeks energetic, reliable, and detail-oriented individuals to join our seasonal housekeeping
team. As a Residential Camp Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and
welcoming environment for our 125+ campers, faculty, and staff on our beautiful 74-acre campus
nestled in the Rocky Mountains.
You will help create the magical, inspiring atmosphere that supports artistic growth, creativity, and
a deep connection to nature. This is a hands-on, live-on-campus position ideal for someone who
enjoys physical work, teamwork, and contributing to a vibrant summer arts community.
Key Responsibilities
● Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of residential cabins, dormitories, bathrooms,
common areas, studios, performance spaces, dining facilities, and administrative buildings.
● Strip, make, and change beds; launder linens and towels as needed.
● Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors, surfaces, and furniture.
● Clean and disinfect restrooms, showers, and high-touch areas to maintain health and
safety standards.
● Empty trash and recycling; properly sort and dispose of waste.
● Report maintenance issues, damages, or supply needs to the Facilities Manager promptly.
● Assist with deep cleaning and turnover between camp sessions or special events (e.g.,
weddings or performances).
● Support inventory management of cleaning supplies and linens.
● Uphold camp policies on safety, confidentiality, and respect for the historic and natural
environment.
● Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and all-camp activities as required.
● Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends, to
accommodate camp schedules.
