About This Camp

Quinipet is a progressive Christian camp owned and operated since 1947 by the New York Conference of the Methodist Church. Spiritually (and physically!) grounded upon the five rocks of Courage, Love, Faith, Humility and Honesty, Quinipet is an ideal environment for inner spiritual reflection and growth. We strive to make Quinipet a welcoming and inclusive environment for campers, staff and visitors from all backgrounds. Quinipet is located on the beautiful shores of Shelter Island, New York. We operate an overnight and day camp with week long sessions through the summer months. Sailing is our most popular camp program but we also have program areas in the arts, sports, and outdoor education for all campers. We hope to give campers (and staff) a chance to grow and have a safe space to try new things.
