Quinipet Camp & Retreat Center, located on stunning Shelter Island, NY, is seeking a Camp Nurse for a 2-week position this summer! This is the perfect opportunity for a Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Registered Nurse looking for a rewarding short-term experience in a fun, supportive, and picturesque setting.

As our Camp Nurse, you’ll oversee the health and well-being of our campers and staff, managing the Health Center with the support of a local doctor on call, excellent EMS with a hospital nearby, a well-established Health Care Plan, and physician-approved standing orders. The Camp Nurse works closely with our seasonal Nurse Assistant. Enjoy the best of both worlds—working with a healthy population while soaking in breathtaking waterfront views!
What You’ll Do:
- Provide care for campers and staff, including first aid and routine health needs
- Manage and maintain the Health Center and all related documentation
- Communicate with parents as needed
- Collaborate with a local physician on call and EMS when needed
- Be an integral part of a welcoming and enthusiastic camp community
What We’re Looking For:
- NY State License (Physician, NP, or RN)
- Pediatric experience
- Warm and approachable personality
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
