Summer Camp - Health Supervisor

Responsible to: Camp Director

Desired qualifications: 21 Years Old; Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia

Experience: Current Experience with Children’s Ailments

Responsibilities:

• Initiating a program of health education and safety practices and giving instruction.
• Presenting requisitions for necessary equipment before camp opens.
• Caring for the physical well-being of everybody in camp; taking care of all illnesses and accidents to campers and staff under the direction of a licensed physician; taking the responsibility for calling the physician when advisable.
• Checking individual health forms with the incoming campers and staff; following up on any pertinent information with the responsible individual and staff member.
• Maintaining the infirmary and reporting all cases of illnesses or injury to the camp director.
• Keeping health certificates, recording treatment and other health information.
• Maintaining first aid equipment for units, program areas, and trips.
• Supervising sanitation and safety throughout camp, including kitchen, dining hall, on a regular basis.
• Other duties as assigned.
