Job Description
Do you love taking care of people? Are you calm in a crisis? Do you have a stomach of steel and a steady hand to clean out some sandy barnacle cuts? Are you gentle but firm and able to treat stomach aches that come from both homesickness and one too many blackberries? You may be one of the nurses who comes to serve in what previous nurses have called the “prettiest nurses’ station on Earth.”

At Camp Gallagher, our nurses work with the rest of the staff to make sure campers get both their scheduled medications and general first aid care as needed throughout the session. Some nurses come to work for entire sessions, while others split the time with other nurses so that it fits within their usual work schedule. We are happy to work with you to create a schedule that works for both you and Camp Gallagher.

When not taking care of campers, you can join in on the camp fun - play some games, sing at campfire, explore the beach - or you might stretch out on one of the comfy health hut chairs to dig into that book you’ve been wanting to read while soaking up the beautiful south Sound view. When the campers and staff venture out on their overnight adventures, you stay with the director team, on call for any needs that arise and preparing for everyone’s return. Camp Gallagher can’t run without a nurse!

Pay - $436 per session
